a'uzhubillahi mina shaitani rajim
bismillahi rahmani rahim

alhamdulillahi rabbil 'alamin
wassolatu wassalamu 'ala rasulillah

[dah lama diri menyepi]

utk akhiratmu
utk dilepaskan dari api pembakar kulit, kilang nanah mendidih dan jeritan

Bangunlah solat malam

Bulan ini
Waktu ini
Malam ini
Bukan masa dadah tidur
Tapi waktu sedari hakikat
masa sujud berpanjangan
masa air mata taubat
masa madu iman
Masa kembali dan berubah
Hanya untuk ar Rahman

Islam Invulnerable ~ The Making of the Modern Muslim World

Despite the fact that the Muslim Ummah has degenerated in relative
material terms over the past several centuries, Islam is incorruptible and
impossible to harm. In other words, Islam is invulnerable.
*** Invulnerable?! ***
Why are Muslim societies relatively poor, politically
disorganized, and militarily weak? Why have Muslim societies, which were
once some of the most powerful, tolerant, and wealthy in the world,
degenerated to the state of affairs that we suffer from today?
* *
* *
Most attempts to answer these questions focus upon only one part
of the Muslim world, such as the Ottoman Empire or the Arab world, but
neglect the reality that the Muslim Ummah is a global community. This
course is unique in that it encompasses the global expanse of the Muslim
Ummah, and covers not only the Middle East, but also the Indian
subcontinent, South East Asia, Muslim Africa, Central Asia and the spread
of Islam to Europe.
The purpose of this course is to encourage Muslims to critically
examine their own historical tradition, and to promote a more
sophisticated view of the world, in the hope that this will aid future
generations of Muslims to more effectively confront the challenges that
face the Muslim Ummah.

The course is divided into four parts. The first part will analyze
the rise of the Ottoman Empire, the Mughal Empire, the Safavid Empire, as
well as the evolution of Muslim civilization in Central Asia, Africa and
South East Asia.
The second part of the course will examine the scientific,
military, and economic factors that contributed to the rise of the
European nations, and to the relative material decline of the Muslim
world, as well as the role that European Imperial powers played in
dividing the Muslim world into distinct nation-states.
The third part of the course will focus upon the creation of the
modern nation-states of Turkey and Iran, and the partition of India and
the subsequent Indo-Pakistani wars, as well as the articulation of the
modern Arab state system.
Finally, we will critically examine the Arab-Israeli conflict, and
will cover the origins of Arab Nationalism and Zionism, as well as the
1948, 1956, 1973 and 1982 wars. We will also focus upon the Israeli New
History, and consider what this literature has revealed about the origins
the Palestinian refugee problem, as well as the ultimate consequences of
the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Alhamdulillah, we are in the blessed month again, month of 'ibaadah, month of repentance. Lets take this opportunity to increase our repentance to Allah... may Allah accept our repentance...

"The servitude in repentance is the most noble and beloved form of servitude in the Eyes of Allaah. He loves those who repent and it is because of His love for His creation that He tests them with sins so that He may shower His Blessings and Favours upon them after they repent" (Taken from: 'Sincere Repentance', page 13)
-- Ibn-ul- Qayyim

"Dont get tired of standing at His door, even if you were thrown out
And dont stop apologizing to Him, even if you were turned back
And if He opens the door for the ones who were accepted,
then enter (with them) the entrance of the ones who were unexpected
And say, 'Miskeen (poor) so give me Sadaqah (charity)'"

-Kapal Layar Menuju Nya-
